Commonly Asked Questions about our No Bark Collar How does it work? The ABS unit has a small microphone designed to respond to the barking sound of the dog. When the microphone picks-up a bark, the unit releases a spray of citronella in front of the dog's snout. Through conditioned reflex it discourages the dog from barking. What is included in a kit? Each kit contains: a bark sensing unit, an adjustable strap, one citronella refill can, two 6 volt alkaline batteries and detailed instructions. How many sprays are there in a refill can? There are approximately 300 sprays in each (85 gm) refill can. How many sprays are there in the reservoir? When the reservoir is full, there are about 30-35 sprays in the reservoir. Can all dogs be trained to stop barking? No, not all dogs can be trained. Some mistreated or badly trained dogs that have severe behavior problems are often too settled in their ways to respond positively to any method. Can the spray be harmful for my dog or family? The spray solution has been found to be extremely safe. Its ozone friendly propellant is the same inert product used in asthma pumps for humans. The citronella essence is a natural essential oil that has been used in many human, animal and environmental applications for thousands of years. Although it can cause discomfort in certain individuals with allergies to citronella, it is considered non-toxic, especially at the very low levels given off by the collar. Each spray contains less than 10% citronella. If allergies develop a scentless spray is available. Can the spray harm my dog's eyes?
